Getting into Teaching

To support your teaching journey, Bensham Manor is happy for you to volunteer so you can see what it is like teaching in a school for young people with complex special education needs.

You will have the opportunity to:

• support in lessons

• help pupils in small groups and on a one to one basis

• learn how to prepare resources

• support in the playground

• understand the importance of safeguarding in a school setting

Please note: as a volunteer you will have to have a DBS (which we will apply for) and not be barred from working with children
